With a PhD in Developmental Psychology and basically a PhD in the Holy Spirit, Dr. Jenn shares how we can navigate life with practical tools of cognitive rewiring which goes hand in hand with the Word of God and the Spirit of God. We talk about where healing starts, why we’re not designed to “do it all”, and how to re-discover the joy of our salvation through very practical, simple steps of abiding. You will love the Lord more after spending time with Jenn. I sure do.
And here is the link to the Passion translation of the Bible she talks about at the end:

Sal and Bella have walked some hard roads. Currently 2.5 years in their battle with infertility plus saying yes to becoming foster parents and all the in between, they have fought back darkness within themselves, their marriage, and their story. They haven’t yet seen a miracle and yet, they know God is in it all. Their transparency and authenticity to share about their journey is inspiring, challenging, and a reminder that this world will have suffering, but we can take heart knowing He has overcome it all.

This episode is such an important conversation in 2024! President of the Tim Tebow Foundation, Steve Biondo, and I got to talk about what it means to fight for humans in our day and age. From the critical dangers of pornography to human trafficking to cycles of abuse, he is SO wise on all things human. TTF is fighting for the marginalized, the forgotten, the abused, and the broken. And we should too. There is so much we need to be educated on to advocate for the people that cannot advocate for themselves and Steve helps give handles to why this work matters so much. AND at the end of the day, the Gospel always goes first. It is the light we bring against the darkness. There is no doubt Steve is living out his unique calling. Whether it's presenting to global governments or kicking down doors to rescue the one, he is constantly leaning in to what the Lord has for him here and now.

Get ready to be inspired, my friends!! After a life altering accident, Patric found himself re-evaluating everything - his perspective, his priorities, and his purpose. He is still very much in the middle of this pain in many ways, but his faith in God could move mountains. This conversation is full of how to navigate the hard in life with nothing, but a posture of gratitude. He is now an author, speaker, and he started a foundation to help others who have been through tragedy similar to his. So much we can learn through Patric's story.

At 12 years old, Julie was given a dream to be on mission for the Lord. Through days and months and years of obstacles and mountains to climb, she was able to see that dream come to fruition by the opening of Manos De Fe in Panama over 15 years ago. Manos De Fe is organization that beautifully loves people by telling them about Jesus and pouring into the community. Julie knew God put this in her and never stopped being faithful on the hard days. Honestly, I want to be her when I grow up!

There isn't a human on this planet that couldn't learn from Lonnie Phillips. From a tumultuous childhood full of abuse and chaos to accidentally joining the navy to leading over 20,000 people, he is full of life lessons, a peace that far surpasses what worldly success promises, and one of the most incredible stories of forgiveness. Truly, I could've talked to Lonnie for hours.
In an episode on success, the takeaways are slow down, focus on your marriage/family, and nourish your soul. WOAH.

It's 2024 and maybe you've set some goals for the year that excite you! Or maybe goal setting overwhelms you in general. Arika and Hunter have figured out the sweet spot of how to have Christ-centered dreams. We have one mission - to follow Jesus. But that doesn't mean we don't have other dreams that fall under that life of being surrendered. With successful businesses, their marriage, their parenting, everything they do points to one thing - Jesus. We talk avoiding burnout, rejecting hustle culture, and being multi-passionate followers of Jesus.

Not to mention they have a WILD story of an experience that totally shaped their faith together.

Our FINAL episode of Season 1 is with none other than the amazing Lindsey Sweat aka Trella. She is a singer and songwriter. She's written on all types of music, from Maverick City to Love is Blind.  I called this episode "When God Gives You a Gift" because she knew when she was in middle school that God put singing/song writing in her and she has pursued that gift down so many paths. Amidst her very fun and exciting life we talk all about, she has also battled seasons of doubting her faith, anxiety, and depression and we talk about all about how she has worked through those seasons.

Check out her music and enjoy this perfect finale conversation of Neighbors Season 1 :)

Give Lindsey a follow on instagram @trellatunes and find her music on Spotify, Apple Music, or anywhere music is under Trella.
