Gretchen and Rebecca are two of the most powerhouse women I know. They are seasoned moms who are launching teens to college this month and have so much wisdom on parenting. And it doesn’t include a list of ten steps to be a better parent. It’s full of grace and authenticity. Space for your kids to be themselves and to come alongside them to point them to our Heavenly Father. If you have teens, will have teens one day, or know a teenager, this one is for you. There are few people that radiate Jesus the way Maureen Kaderi does. Growing up in the third largest slum of Kenya, Maureen knows poverty more than most. Her story is one of redemption, restored hope, and a good God who never forgot her. We laugh, we cry, and we praise God. Maureen now runs a ministry called Mercy House Global, which rescues pregnant teens off the streets of Kenya to give them hope and a brighter future. This woman is moving mountains with not only her faith and actions, but her whole life.

Grief comes in all different shapes, sizes, colors, timelines, and emotions. It can sneak up when you least expect it and leave you feeling lost and alone. Joye has walked this road of grief. She is walking it. But she does it with joy (and not just because that’s her literal name). This conversation is FULL of what it looks like to not get lost in loss. Joye is an actual ray of sunshine on a rainy day and even though a lot of her days have been rainy the last two years, she has received it as her God-given assignment to point people to the only true source of joy. And His name is Jesus.

Episode 21: From Super Bowl to Swing Sets with Josh Wells

Former (as of a few weeks ago) NFL player, Josh Wells has had some mountaintop highs (like winning the Superbowl) and some low lows, but since surrendering his life to Jesus after his first NFL season, he has held fast to an identity rooted in something much deeper than football. Now retired, he is using all that football taught him to lead his family, love his kids, and love God well. He has been living out his calling as a football player for 10 years and is now wrestling with what is next for this new chapter. His meaning for life is inspiring and we can all learn from the wild ride Josh has been on.

Currently 2.5 years in their battle with infertility plus saying yes to becoming foster parents and all the in between, they have fought back darkness within themselves, their marriage, and their story. Their transparency and authenticity to share about their journey is inspiring, challenging, and a reminder that this world will have suffering, but we can take heart knowing He has overcome it all.

Episode 18: Modern Warfare with Steve Biondo

This episode is such an important conversation in 2024! President of the Tim Tebow Foundation, Steve Biondo, and I got to talk about what it means to fight for humans in our day and age. From the critical dangers of pornography to human trafficking to cycles of abuse, he is SO wise on all things human. TTF is fighting for the marginalized, the forgotten, the abused, and the broken. And we should too. There is so much we need to be educated on to advocate for the people that cannot advocate for themselves and Steve helps give handles to why this work matters so much. AND at the end of the day, the Gospel always goes first. It is the light we bring against the darkness. There is no doubt Steve is living out his unique calling. Whether it's presenting to global governments or kicking down doors to rescue the one, he is constantly leaning in to what the Lord has for him here and now.
